Learning Breadth First – By Arigrant

Posted on Apr 22, 2014

Whilst on my usual internet learning travels, I came across an interesting post from Ari Grant around breadth first learning. One of the things I’ve come to realise over the years is that, no matter how much time you spend learning, reading tutorials, trying to understand the depths of programming, you’ll never know everything, even in just one language, there’s just too much. I’ve learned to relax and not be concerned about needing to know every minor detail of every framework or API. The truth is, providing you understand the fundamentals, you can learn the bits you don’t know, that you need, as and when you need them. I found Ari’s article on Breadth First learning really interesting, in that, with breadth, depth come for free, take 10 minutes out of your day to give it a read, it’s well worth it…
